PENINSULA TOWNSHIP BOARD
BUDGET STUDY SESSION
February 25, 2010
Called to order at 1:00 p.m.
PRESENT: Manigold; Hoffman; Weatherholt; Horton; and Byron.
ABSENT: Wilson & Rosi (excused)
Weatherholt brought to the attention of the board that the winter taxes have not been paid on the
Center Road Natural Area Park, they are due along with interest.
MOTION: Horton/Weatherholt To pay the winter tax bill from the bond fund.
Roll Call Vote: Horton yes, Weatherholt yes, Hoffman yes, Byron yes, and Manigold yes.
Passed Unan
The purpose of the meeting was for the Township Board to discuss 2010/2011 fiscal year budgets
with the Fire Board, as well as discussing the General Fund and the Special Funds.
The board discussed the following pension and health care. Board consensus is to leave the pension
as it is, and to work with Jim McDonnell from Ford Insurance on reducing the cost of the premium
by the township self insuring a higher deductible.
There being no further business the study session adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
