Peninsula Township

The Old Mission Peninsula is perhaps Michigan's most unique and scenic township. Unlike the typical six mile by six mile square township, the Old Mission Peninsula is finger-like in shape, projecting approximately 16 miles into Grand Traverse Bay. The township varies from one to three miles in width and contains approximately 42 miles of Great Lakes shoreline.

Fire Special Assessment District at the regular Town Board meeting on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Peninsula Township Hall, 13235 Center Road.

The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.

The Fire Department is requesting up to 1.3 mil for fiscal 2012-2013 for maintenance and operation of the department.

Peninsula Township is seeking a detail –oriented person for this part time Monday - Thursday position. Hours will be Monday 8:30 – 5:30, Tue, Weds, Thurs 8:30 – 3:30. Person must have excellent Word processing, and Excel skills and knowledge of general office function. This person must have excellent verbal, and written skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with the public. Hourly rate based on experience.
