The Zoning Department also works closely with township residents regarding land use issues. They review and approve proposals for land divisions and issue Land Use Permits for all forms of new construction.

Gordon Uecker is our Zoning Administrator. He was hired in 2002 and comes to us with 30 years of zoning experience.

Wendy Witkop was hired in 2002 to assist Gordon with the zoning issues as well as manage the Township Office. Wendy is a township resident.

The Township has a five-member Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) which hears citizen’s requests for relief from The Zoning Ordinance when they cannot meet it’s requirements, interprets the Ordinance, reviews applications for signs, hears appeals of the Zoning Administrations decisions, and approves extensions to non-conforming structures.

Zoning Board of Appeals meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at the Township Hall.
