Compactor

• Peninsula Township Compacter & Recycling Center is located at 2751 Devils Dive Road, Traverse City, MI 49686.  Open hours:  Wednesday 12 - 6 p.m. & Saturdays 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.  Recycling available at all times; no charge for the recycling of glass, plastic, card board/paper, Punch cards may be purchased at Peninsula Market, 14111 Center Road or you may pay by check at the Compactor Station.

• We do not accept any forms of Hazardous Materials. Grand Traverse County has a Take-it-Back (website opens in new tab) program. There you will see a list of area businesses where certain materials can be disposed of.
• Yard waste in the form of leaves and grass clippings may be dropped off during open compactor hours.  Grand Traverse County has a brush drop off site (website opens in new tab).
